You are cordially invited to a very special outing: a “Vintage Singles Day Ride” — a celebration of motorcycles that do more with less… specifically, ONE cylinder doing all the work.

That’s right—this is a strictly SINGLE-cylinder affair and for vintage bikes over 20-years old. So, no twins sneaking in under false pretenses, no triples claiming “emotional singleness,” and no multis – trying to blend in. If it doesn’t thump, cough and shake with noble simplicity… it can stay home and think about its life choices 🙂

We’ll gather at Geoff’s place in the Aurora area for the traditional pre-ride essentials: coffee, donuts & gentle boasting about whose bike has the fewest number of beats between lamp posts.

From there, we’ll set off on a relaxed 15–20 mile meander through the Oregon countryside — perfect terrain for our proud, rhythmic machines.

Our destination: the Top Wire Project, just outside Woodburn, where lunch, conversation, and admiring glances at mature singles await!

What you can expect:

• Cool old vintage bikes & riders
• A nice even pace (probably 50-60mph bursts at top speed) on quiet country roads
• A chorus of glorious thumping echoing across quiet farmland
• A gathering of lovely, mature singles — mostly mechanical
• There’s room to bring your bike to Geoff’s home on a trailer and leave the trailer while we ride
• There should be enough trailers & pickup trucks back at the starting point to collect any breakdowns

So dust off your vintage AJS, Ariel, BSA, BMW, Ducati, Francis Barnett, Harley Davidson, Honda, Matchless, Norton, Royal Enfield, Velocette, Vincent, Yamaha, or ANY other vintage ONE-cylinder marvel, and join us for a ride that proves you don’t need more cylinders to have more fun.
