May 17 & 18, Corvallis Ride and
Show - Featured Marque: BSA. Our May Show was an unqualified success,
and we'd like to thank everyone who attended the show, displayed bikes,
and the many folks who helped out through the weekend.
June 21st Longest Day Ride,
Designed to coincide with the Summer Solstice, covers
250 miles. The ride will leave Moto-Corsa Ducati and
Aprilia shop located at 2170 NW Wilson St. Portland at 10:00 am
June 28th, Moto Piccolo
Small displacement motorcycle and scooter run. This one will meet at
the 76 Station in Oregon City. Take I-205 exit 10. The ride will start
qt 11:00 AM, and there will be a lunch after the ride, location of
lunch, TBA.
July 4th, 47th Annual Central
Point, Oregon July 4th Parade. OVM members are encouraged to bring
their old bikes to ride in the parade. The old bikes were very well
recieved at last year's event, and they'd love to have us back again
this year. Please show up early. They're starting the parade at 9:30,
so you should probably plan on being there by 8:30.
July 13th, Tour
de Clarque (Clark Co., WA) Poker Run. The ride will meet at The Les Schwab Tire Store in Camas,
Washington. Leaves at 11:00 AM. This will be about
120 miles, with a lunch stop after the ride.
July 20, New event: Goldendale
Gathering. OVM members meet at Goldendale, Washington (recommended to
take Washington Route 12 to get there, unless you really enjoy I-84!).
We'll meet up with Retro-Riders Vintage motorcycle group from the
Tri-Cities in Washington for an informal get-together and a short loop
ride. Meet at the Goldendal Observatory by noon on Sunday. GPS owners
can look for 45 degrees, 50 minutes, 20.104 sec. latitude and 120
degrees, 48 minutes, 49.787 sec., all others, go North of town.
July 21st-25th,
International Norton Owners Endless Mountains Rally, Ives Run
Campground, Hammond Lake, Tioga County Pennsylvania. For attendance and

August 2 & 3, Oaks Park Picnic and Ride: The Saturday Ride leaves Jim Dandy's at 11:00 am. 96th & NE Sandy. The Sunday Picnic: Oaks Park, Portland, OR - Picnic Area 3. BBQ + display your vintage bikes on Sunday the 3rd, 11:00-3:00pm.
August 23rd, Moto Piccolo,
Early
Bird, Leaves Farmington at 9:00 am, Breakfast at the
half way mark. It's early, but the traffic volume is low and it
makes the food taste better. Scooter owners are encouraged to attend.
September 13th & 14th, Sisters
Rendezvous. Leave your
house and rendezvous in Sisters, Oregon at 2:00PM for a free ice
cream cone and more riding. Advanced entry is required. Sign up early
via e-mail OVM or postal mail to the
OVM PO Box in Portland. Scenic Mountain passes, good food stops,
nice roads, many curves.
September 28th, Clackamas County
Cruise. Leave from Oregon City, 76 Station, 11:00am. Lots of curves and
twisties; about 100 miles, late lunch after the ride.
October 5th, Moto Piccolo 2
and
Chili Feed. For small bore bikes - 250 cc or smaller. Leave from
Oregon City, 76 Station, near Exit 10 from I-205,
across from Home Depot. 11:00 am. About 50 miles. This is a rain or
shine ride (Lunch after the ride: Chili, cornbread, coffee, pop, milk,
beer $5 donation
suggested)
TBA, Mid-Winter; Mid-Size,
Mid-Valley Motorcycle Rally. Salem. Strictly a dry weather ride.
Don't come if it's raining. This event is for owners of mid-size
(250cc-500cc) bikes. The route will be about 70 miles of hills and
windy roads in the Salem area. After the ride, there will be a lunch
stop at Rockin' Roger's hamberger joint. The ride will leave at 11:00
AM from Cycle Sports Yamaha Kawasaki at 4764 Portland Road, NE off I-5
Exit 258 in Salem. We'll post a solid date as soon as we can, stay
tuned.
